Karl is a Belgian citizen born in 1962. After graduating in Translation from the International School of Translators and Interpreters of Mons and obtaining a post graduate degree in Marketing and Retailing, Karl worked as a top executive for several Belgian companies, including the Belgian National Telecom Company, where he was a Customer Contact & Performance Improvement Manager for 5 years. In 1996, Karl decided to go back to his first love, translation, and has been working as a freelance translator since 1999, when, weary of the chilly weather of his native country, he relocated to the Caribbean to set up BeTranslated with Mike.
Karl translates from English, Dutch and Spanish to French and is specialized in marketing, the Internet, software, hardware, and telecommunication products. Besides his translation activity, he mostly deals with customer contacts, project management, billing and the administrative and financial aspects of the network.
