Born in Soerabaja, Indonesia with Dutch parents, raised in the Netherlands and Germany, Thijs has always had an open mind towards other cultures and all that comes with it. His pronounced talent for languages became apparent at an early age. After his studies in the Netherlands he moved to Germany where he gained international financial and marketing experience working as an account executive for one of the world’s leading investment banks. His ability to communicate and negotiate in 5 languages became the basis for his further career.
Thijs has lived in Amsterdam, New York, Chicago, London, Munich and many other cities around the world. Cologne has been his base for the last fifteen years now.
